Man Utd against Brighton – English top flight Updates

Match Preview

The Red Devils, coming off victories against Liverpool and Sunderland, aim for three consecutive successes on the bounce in this match. They have momentum with Ruben Amorim in charge currently!

Only problem is, the opposing team are Brighton & Hove Albion, with victories in their previous three visits at Manchester United’s home, plus six out of seven fixtures in this rivalry.

Despite United’s form; Brighton have found very comfortable. That said, Brighton are otherwise consistently inconsistent as their hosts, therefore the fixture appears both fascinating and potentially rollickingly good entertainment.

Start time is 5.30pm BST and we say this for the last time in a while with daylight saving ending, kids. Let’s go!

Squad Updates

United decided on two adjustments following their 2-1 win at Anfield last weekend. Benjamin Šeško comes in for Mason Mount, who drops to the bench, plus the decisive scorer Harry Maguire doesn’t feature at all, Leny Yoro taking his place in defence.

Maguire picked up an injury this week in practice. Malacia makes the squad among the substitutes this campaign.

Brighton have made one change after their 2-1 home win over Newcastle. Seemingly a tactical shift, including De Cuyper instead of Gómez, on the bench.

The striker, a member of the last Manchester United squad that lifted the title back in 2013, visits his old club with great momentum scoring four in three, one more than he’d managed in his previous 15.

Build-Up

The manager pays little heed regarding comments from the Reds’ manager … yet Welbeck is mindful about the considerations by the former Chelsea manager.

Analysts have noted that this match could have implications their campaigns in the top flight campaign progresses.

Key players to watch feature the captain in red and Danny Welbeck in blue and white, each performing well recently.
